3:13 Eglon formed alliances with ¹  the Ammonites and Amalekites. He came and defeated Israel, and they seized the City of Date Palm Trees.

The Lord’s Patience Runs Short

10:6 The Israelites again did evil in the Lord’s sight. ²  They worshiped ³  the Baals and the Ashtars, ⁴  as well as the gods of Syria, Sidon, ⁵  Moab, the Ammonites, and the Philistines. ⁶  They abandoned the Lord and did not worship ⁷  him. 10:7 The Lord was furious with Israel ⁸  and turned them over to ⁹  the Philistines and Ammonites.
